Purpose and Responsibilities

At a special meeting of the Pawnee City Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors enthusiastically approved a groundbreaking proposal to establish a full-time Economic Development Director position. The Board approved a proposal to enter into a oneyear contract to engage Aaron Sawyer of Sawyer Development, LLC as the new Economic Development Director of the Pawnee City Chamber of Commerce.

The Economic Development Director will play a crucial role in spearheading various economic expansion projects outlined in Pawnee City’s development plan. These initiatives include the construction of 25 new single-family houses, securing grants for infrastructure improvements, and enhancing community amenities such as parks and services.
