    Most of the Albaugh story has been seemingly lost to history. However, three members of this family are buried in the Cincinnati Cemetery outside Du Bois.

    The patriarch of the family, Captain John Albaugh, was born in Carroll County, Ohio on September 15, 1827. His parents, Morris (1793-1855) and Elizabeth (1794-1857) had 11 children together.
