Arden Fred Bredemeier, 87 of Sabetha, Kansas, formerly of DuBois, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 8, 2020. He was born on November 29, 1933 in DuBois, Nebraska to Frederick Carl and Myrtle (Siske) Bredemeier.

He attended Cincinnati grade school from first grade thru 8th grade and then attended Pawnee City High School where he graduated in 1951.

After graduation Arden spent 2 years in the Army from 1954- 1956. He then came back to DuBois to farm, where he farmed until he retired in 2002.

On December 8, 1956 Arden married Jan Wade in Lawton, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born, Steven Mark, Lynne Diann, Rhonda Lee and Bradley Scott.

He was a member of Church of Christ of Sabetha, Kansas. He served on the Nemaha Resources District for 20 years from 1972 to 1992. Arden loved antique John Deere tractors, tractor pulling and land and water conservation.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Myrtle Bredemeier, and infant grandson Tyler Dale Roland.

Arden is survived by his wife Jan of Sabetha, KS, children, Steven and wife Melany Bredemeier of Bethany, IL, Lynne Diann Roland of DuBois, NE, Rhonda and husband Kent Cooper of Humboldt, NE, Bradley Bredemeier of Cushing, TX, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, sisters, Alene and husband Paul Davis of Longview, TX, Elane Burkhalter of Casper, WY, brother Edgar and wife Carolyn Bredemeier of Stella, NE, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the DuBois Community Building, DuBois, Nebraska with Pastor Eric Hicks officiating. Visitation was on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Inurnment was at the DuBois Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Chester R. Kerl Post 39 of DuBois and the Nebraska Army National Guard Honor Guard.
