Harvey Sejkora, 90, of rural Burchard, Nebraska went to his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2021. He was born on March 24,1930 in Burchard to Frank and Mary (Findies) Sejkora. Harvey was the youngest of nine children.

Harvey married his high school sweetheart Bobette Jones on October 5, 1951. Harvey and Bobette had 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He served in the Marines from January 25, 1952 to January 14, 1954. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Harvey farmed his entire life until his last day. He loved his work as a farmer and taught his children to work hard, but to also take time off to do activities they enjoyed. Harvey loved to hunt deer, pheasant and quail. He enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing and watching any sport his grandchildren were playing. He was a huge Husker fan and loved listening to polka music. One of his favorite activities was to give his great grandchildren 4 wheeler rides. In his later years he enjoyed traveling to Israel, the Czech Republic, numerous trips to Branson and other destinations.

Early in his married life he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a life long church attender and also enjoyed listening to live gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobette; daughter, Joleen Etherton; and parents, Frank and Mary Sejkora.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane (Dave) Carpenter; son, Dave (Cheryl) Sejkora; son-in-law, Dave Etherton; son, Dan (Candy) Sejkora; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and multiple other family and friends.

Services 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Pastor Chris Rohrbaugh officiating. Visitation on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Masks and social distancing required at services and graveside. The service will be live-streamed on the Wherry Mortuary/Wherry Monument Facebook page for those unable to attend in person. Interment at the Burchard Cemetery, Burchard, Nebraska. Memorials to Billy Graham. Military honors provided by the United States Marines Corp Honor Guard and the Liberty American Legion Post #346.
