John P. Lambert

John Paul Lambert was born to William and Bernice (Johnson) Lambert on February 1, 1948 at Belgrade, Nebraska. He graduated from Table Rock High School in 1967.

John worked construction and also for Cooper Feeds, Campbell Soup Company, Tecumseh Livestock Market and lastly for Fred Weber, Jr. on the farm. John was on the village board and read meters for the Village of Crab Orchard. John enjoyed drinking and having a good time with his friends at Steinauer. You never knew John without a good laugh and smile on his face.

He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Crab Orchard, Nebraska on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

John is survived by his longtime partner of 39 years, Shirley Higgins of Crab Orchard, grandson, Tanner Lambert and significant other Chandi Zotti, step-children, Arnie Higgins and wife Nicole of Lincoln, Lonnie Higgins and significant other Heather of Lincoln and Theresa Weber and significant other Ray Clifton of Adams, step-grandchildren, Mandy and Mikayla Higgins, James and Paige Higgins and Caty and Emme Weber, sisters, Maggie Behrends and husband Rich of Dawson and Snooks Hayes and husband Keith of Falls City, brother, George Lambert of Lincoln, many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lisa Lambert and siblings, Ed, Fritz, Harold, Melvin and Lois.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
