Ruth Boomgaarn 97 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Premier Estates. She was born on March 24, 1923 to Earl Thomas and Mary Ellen (Wanrow) Clark. She was born at home near Bailville, Kansas. Ruth was one of seven children.

The family moved to a farm in the Humboldt, Nebraska area where she attended country school. In 1932 the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she attended school. The family later moved to a farm Northeast of Table Rock, Nebraska in 1936, where she finished grade school.

On January 4, 1943 she was married to Otis Boomgaarn. To this union a son Larry was born. They lived on a farm northwest of Table Rock, Nebraska, where they raised livestock and grain. Ruth liked to make quilts, also embroidery, plus crocheting work. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and a member of St. Anthony’s Alter Society.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Clark, husband Otis, great grandson Jalyn Crosley, brother’s, Fran Clark and wife Clara, Kenneth Clark and wife Lucille, Duane Clark, sisters, Esther Warren and husband Dean, Rita Kent and husband David, Joan Retzlaff and husband Ray.

She is survived by her son Larry (Cindy) Boomgaarn, grandson Nick (Renee) Boomgaarn of Table Rock, NE, granddaughter, Monica Boomgaarn (Jay Crosley), great grandchildren, Jossette, Josiah and Jace all of Omaha, NE, sister-in-law, Betty Clark of Pawnee City, NE, plus a host of nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside service at Humboldt, Cemetery. Officiating Father Michael Christenson.

Visitation was on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
