Area teams nearly shut out of Pioneer VB

FALLS CITY, LEWISTON - All three of our area volleyball teams were stifled in the 2021 Pioneer Conference Volleyball Tournament which was held Monday-Saturday, October 11th-16th at the Falls City Sacred Heart and Lewiston sites.

Pawnee City outplays Sterling in 2nd half, falls short by ten

STERLING - An epic sixman football game was played on Friday night, October 8th between the Pawnee City Indians and the Sterling Jets with many fans in attendance.

HTRS, Pawnee City go head to head

ODELL - The Humboldt-Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans and the Pawnee City Lady Indians made the trip to Diller/Odell on Thursday, October 7th to face each other and the Lady Griffins in a triangular.

LHS Lady Tigers host “Pink Out” Parent’s Night with CVA, Sterling

LEWISTON - The Lewiston Lady Tigers hosted “Pink Out” Parent’s Night on Tuesday, October 5th, but couldnt capture wins in either of their games of the triangular. Lewiston vs. CVA The Lady Tigers went up against College View Academy in their first match.

HTRS overcome by balanced attack

PALMYRA - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titan football team were seiged by a balanced air/ground attack on Friday night, October 8th as the Palmyra Panthers accumulated 246 yards of passing and 155 yards of rushing for 401 total yards in their 58-22 victory over the Titans.

HTRS’ Shafer’s final round just shy of State Golf

LINCOLN - Members of the Humboldt-Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titan golf team were in action at the Class C-1 District Meet at the Hidden Valley Golf Course on Tuesday, October 5th. Despite a shoulder injury, HTRS senior Gracie Shafer finished with a 116 total after eighteen holes.

Eighth Place – Pawnee City’s Emily Lytle placed 8th at the Mound City Cross Country Invitational last week with her time of 22:33. Lady Indian teammate Kenadie Schmutz also improved her time at 34:48.

Lewiston’s Homecoming heartbreak decided by one point

LEWISTON - “Heart” was the word used most while watching Lewiston’s Homecoming football game against the Meridian Mustangs on Friday night, October 1st. The Tigers came up just one point and one touchdown shy of the Homecoming victory as they had a TD called back on a penalty late in the game.

HTRS faces FCSH on their home turf

FALLS CITY - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titan football team made a tough trek to Falls City on Friday night, October 1st to take on perennial powerhouse Sacred Heart on their home field. The Titans got down 6-38 right away in the game and trailed 6-52 at the half.
