Council turns down request for sign for children on 3

The City Council turned down a request from a parent on third street to put up a sign for children. Sheriff Braden Lang told the Council there was no place on the street where a sign could be put that would be seen, due to the cars being parked along the street on both sides.

Hey kids! Fishing Derby June 5

Kids, practice your casting!! A fishing derby scheduled for June 5th is being organized by the Pawnee City Chamber of Commerce! The fishing derby will be held at the Pawnderosa City Pond in Pawnee City from 8-11:00 AM, and registration begins at 7:30 AM.

The fascinating world of intelligence is where veteran Larry Bradbury did his service to this country. He was in the Naval Security Group from December of 1965 to December of 1969. He was part of the people who “needed to know.

Stellar day for Class D-1 District Track Meet at P.C.

PAWNEE CITY - The weather conditions were very nice for the Class D-1 District Track Meet which was held on Wednesday, May 12th. After the days’ events two area teams qualified a combined fourteen individuals for the upcoming 2021 State Track Meet.

The Fairview Men’s Golf League was held on Thursday, April 29th with six in attendance. Logan Ahl and Richard Pflaum tied for 1st place as Ahl shot a 41 with a net 32 and Pflaum shot a 43 with a net 32.
