Titan wrestlers have tough luck at State

OMAHA - Two Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer/Pawnee City wrestlers were bracketed for the 2021 State Wrestling Tournament tournament at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on Friday, February 19th-20th. Unfortunately, HTRS/P.C.’s Isaac Bittner at 220 lbs.

Lewiston Tigers lose momentum in 2nd half

TRI-COUNTY - The Lewiston Tigers played a good first half against Tri-County in their last regular season game on Friday night, February 19th, but they had a dismal second half of scoring in their 34-68 loss.

Palmyra outpaces HTRS in last regular season game

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans hosted their final regular season game against Palmyra on Friday night, February 19th, but couldn’t pull out a victory. Palmyra led 17-11 after the 1st period and then went on a 16-6 run in the 2nd quarter to lead 33-17 at the half.

The memories of a country school teacher

Now it is a museum, moved years ago to the west side of Table Rock’s Square. However, in 1937, it was the Maple Grove Country School and first-grader Bernice Marfice proudly joined brothers Bill and Paul and 27 others for her first day of school ever.

Lady Titans fight off Tigers in the end

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans had troubles in the turnover department to start the game, but came on strong in the end to defeat the Falls City Lady Tigers on Thursday night, February 11th. Falls City led 2-0 before Ellie Schaardt made a strong move to the hoop to tie it.

HTRS Titans can’t counter early treys by F.C

HUMBOLDT - The HTRS Titans had their chances at the end of the game, but Falls City’s rainfall of three-pointers in the early quarters proved to be the difference in HTRS’ 35-45 loss to the Tigers on Thursday night, February 11th.

Lewiston bests Pawnee City in rescheduled game

PAWNEE CITY - The Lewiston Tigers and the Pawnee City Indians met in a rematch of the Pioneer Conference consolation game on a rescheduled night and site on Friday, February 12th. Lewiston won the previous meeting by only five points and this time jumped out to a 12-6 1st quarter lead.
