PAWNEE CITY - It’s been a long time coming, but the Pawnee City Indians finally broke their losing streak on Friday night, September 25th when they defeated the Meridian Mustangs soundly by a score of 39-16.

Lewiston has tough time stopping Parkview

LINCOLN - The Lewiston Tigers faced the Parkview Christian Patriots on their home field on Friday afternoon, September 25th. Parkview set the tone of the game in the first quarter as they went on a 27-6 scoring run and increased their lead to 47-6 by the halftime break.

HTRS/ JCC football game cancelled due to Covid

TECUMSEH - The high school football game between HTRS and Johnson County Central which was to be played on Friday night, September 25th has been canceled. JCC Superintendent Jon Rother said there had been a rise in COVID-19 cases at the school and that led to the decision to cancel the game.

Lady Tigers have slow start against FCSH

LEWISTON - The Lewiston Lady Tigers faced a ferocious foe on Thursday night, September 24th in the form of the Falls City Sacred Heart Lady Irish. Miscommunication and mistakes hampered the Lady Tigers early in the match which allowed FCSH to win in three straight sets.

Lady Indians succumb to W-S in four sets

WYMORE - The Pawnee City Lady Indians traveled to Wymore Southern on Tuesday night, September 22nd in their only game of the week. The Lady Indians lost the first two sets by scores of 16-25, 10-25, but then won the 3rd set, 25-16.

Pawnee City Schools students plant flowers at school

Junior High and High School FFA members, and the Agronomy class were busy planting flowers last Friday at Pawnee City High School. The students worked the morning to accomplish their goal of four new perennial beds created.
