Marjorie “Marge” Van Horne Leahy

Marjorie Leahy radiated joy and light for her 87 years with us. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on June 3, 2020. She now joins her beloved husband Jerry who passed 10 weeks earlier on March 24, 2020. Marge was born on April 6, 1933 to Maurice VanHorne and Kathryn Colwell VanHorne. Her 4 older sisters, Virginia, Carolyn, Dorothy, & May, and her parents proceeded her in death. Marge is survived by 3 children: Roger, Jim, Mea Lama; 6 grandchildren: Amber, April, Ravon, Jesse, Sean, & Sam; and 3 great grandchildren: Julian, Adrian, and Gabriel.

Willard Dale Binder

Willard Dale Binder was born to Violet Mary (Branek) and Charles Jacob Binder on October 24, 1927 on the family farm west of Table Rock. He was the youngest of five boys, Charles, Glenn, Joe and Leland. He attended school in Table Rock and graduated with his class in 1945. In March 1950, Willard and his brother, Leland bought the local lumberyard and Binder Brothers was established. Later a ready mix concrete plant was added. As they grew, his sons joined him in the family business. Willard took great pleasure in designing projects for people. He enjoyed serving the community and spent many hours helping customers.

Marian Florence (Ulmer) Leatherman

Marian Florence (Ulmer) Leatherman, 96, passed away on May 30, 2020 at Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska. She was born on December 31, 1923, in a rural home built by her father. She was the fifth of six children born to Reuben and True (Stratton) Ulmer. Marian graduated from the Dawson Public School in 1941. She worked in Omaha as a typist before she married Wayne Leatherman on October 17th, 1942, in Tucson, AZ, where he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They returned to Nebraska in 1943. Marian lived in the Humboldt-Dawson area the remainder of her life, primarily in her original family home north of Dawson.
