On July 4, 2026, Steinauer held its annual fireworks show. Before the activities started, many residents arrived early and set up chairs and blankets on the grass around the park. People spent time talking with friends and family, playing games, and waiting for the evening’s activities to start.

On July 4, Pawnee City community members gathered to see the FFA Chapter open a time capsule that had been hidden in the school’s bell tower since 1976.The opening took place in the school cafeteria and was open to everyone in the community.
