The Pawnee Republican will host a monthly photo contest! Here’s how it will work: Participants will need to submit photos relating to the month’s theme by May 9. Only one submission per contestant. Submissions can be emailed as a jpg to localnews@pawneenews. com.

The 16th annual FFAChicken Bar-B-Q was held Wednesday, April 23 in the lunchroom, over 200 people attended, each contributing one dollar to the development of the FFA camp at Aurora.

Photo - Children in Steinauer took their Easter Egg hunting seriously on Saturday, April 22nd. The hunt was sponsored by Steinauer businesses. Eight dozen eggs were dyed by the ladies from the Bank of Steinauer and another 5 dozen plastic eggs were used.

The Bouncing Czechs are about to fade into history. Original members included Bob, Bob, and Bob. There were Bob Blecha of Pawnee City, his cousin Bob Blecha of Table Rock, and their friend Bob Stepanek of DuBois.

UNL Opera Students to Perform Classical Songs by Czech Composers at ZCBJ Hall

The dance floor of the DuBois ZCBJ Hall is temporarily occupied by rows of chairs, all for a unique program set to take place on Sunday afternoon, May 18, at 3 pm. The Hall is located on a rock road in rural DuBois, a mile north and half a mile west of town. The address is 62728 706 Road, DuBois.
