Shayla Wissler paused at the door to the gym and then Pomp and Circumstance started. She led in her Pawnee City High School graduating class of 18 Saturday afternoon. School Board President Terry Borcher and Superintendent Stephen Grizzle both had memorable days Saturday. Both had sons graduating.

We opened the Missing Sock laundromat in June of 2018 after renovating the building due to the fire in downtown Pawnee City which damaged several buildings/businesses. We purchased the building from Pawnee City Development Corporation (PCDC) who saved and rebuilt it after the fire.

Vegetable Gardens

Most people already have their vegetable gardens planted for the summer. But, don’t worry, there is still time to get one planted, but do so quickly to provide plants enough time to grow and produce prior to frost in fall.Gardens need 1 inch of water per week.

Semi overturned

On May 14 a semi tractor trailer loaded with pet food overturned on Highway 50/8 east of Pawnee City in front of the home of Don and Lisa Bloss. The driver stated that a westbound passenger vehicle began to drift and was on the yellow line.
