The Pawnee County Agricultural Society currently consists of 13 members that (with the help of dozens of volunteers) plan the annual Pawnee County Fair. There are a multitude of details that come with putting on an event of this size, and sometimes things get overlooked.

2023 Farwell Family Reunion

83 people attended the 69th Farwell reunion of members of the original four descendants of Horace Steven and Margaret (Park) Farwell at the DuBois Community Building on Sunday, July 16, 2023. The families gathered and enjoyed the afternoon sharing delicious food and visiting with family.

LION BOB BUCHER’S YOUTH FISHING CONTEST 2023

The Humboldt Lions Club, sponsors of the Bob Bucher Youth Fishing Contest, have been engaging the fishing youth of the area since near the turn of the century. Numerous members of the club enjoy fishing and wish to instill the love of this activity in the next generation.

Peak Season For Ragweed

Any person with hay fever knows that ragweed is hitting its peak right now. Every year around the beginning to middle of August, the ragweed season starts and the pollen count soon hits its peak and only gradually decreases over the next six to eight weeks until the first frost.
