10 years ago March 28, 2013 The new recycling bins in Pawnee City are a big hit. City clerk Tammy Stephens reports that the bins have been used heavily. Nebraska Reycling was here Feb. 28 and March 20 to pick up recyclables. They picked up 1,760 lbs. Of recyclables in February and 2,960 lbs.

The Great Kolache Bake Off, 2023 Edition

The Table Rock community club hosted an open event for anyone interested in helping make kolaches on March 17th. Over 20 members of the community responded to the invite!

Prostate Cancer Screening

Talking to the men this week! There has been a great interest in testing for prostate cancer. You may know others that know their “prostate number”. What they are talking about is their PSA (prostate specific antigen). This is a blood test to help determine any abnormalities with the prostate.

Bloss Family Shines with Sorghum

Matt Bloss of Pawnee City has received national recognition for yield with his sorghum. He got 2nd nationally for Dryland Tillage yields. Having yields of 153.24 bushels per acre. He used Pioneer 85Z11 to produce the nationally acclaimed yields.

Johnson Charged

Kandice Johnson of Pawnee City was formally charged last week. She was charged with three felonies. Her charges are third degree sexual abuse by a school employee, first-degree sexual assault of a child, and firstdegree child abuse.

Table Rock Library

Firstly, did you know that Table Rock has had a library since 1917? 106 years ago, some civic-minded residents decided a library would be a great addition to our fair town, and they virtually moved heaven and earth to make it happen!
