10 years ago March 28, 2013 The new recycling bins in Pawnee City are a big hit. City clerk Tammy Stephens reports that the bins have been used heavily. Nebraska Reycling was here Feb. 28 and March 20 to pick up recyclables. They picked up 1,760 lbs. Of recyclables in February and 2,960 lbs.

Talking to the men this week! There has been a great interest in testing for prostate cancer. You may know others that know their “prostate number”. What they are talking about is their PSA (prostate specific antigen). This is a blood test to help determine any abnormalities with the prostate.

Johnson Charged

Kandice Johnson of Pawnee City was formally charged last week. She was charged with three felonies. Her charges are third degree sexual abuse by a school employee, first-degree sexual assault of a child, and firstdegree child abuse.
