Lewiston State Speech

The Class D-2 State Speech 2023 is now a memory for the Lewiston Speech Team. For Sophomores, Kierstin Rehrs and Riley Hock, and Freshmen Ayden Hunzeker and Maddie Janssen, the two-day state speech experience at Kearney High school was invaluable.

Salt Water Nasal Washes

Sometimes the simplest remedies are amohg the best. One of these is using salt water drops or sprays to clean the nose. During winter, the humidity in the air drops very low and dries up the normal secretions from the respiratory tract.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Pawnee County

NSP received information that a stolen Ford Mustang, out of Iowa, was in the Pawnee City area. On Friday March 10th, an NSP investigator located the vehicle and observed a woman driving it. A trooper was then able to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle near 6th and G Street.

Night at the Museum

Bruce McCoy, who served as Superintendent of Schools at Lewiston from 1996-2011, has written a book during his retirement and he will be presenting that book at a 7:00 p.m. event on Monday, April 10, at the Johnson County Museum in Tecumseh.

Wetter Start to 2023

Winter has been relatively nice to us this season. With only a handful of measurable snow for the season. This lack of snow, however, has not stopped the precipitation. Pawnee County is off to a slightly above average start for measurable precipitation. As of March 20th, Table Rock has had 4.

Pawnee County Woman Taken into Custody

Kandice Johnson of Pawnee City was arrested for 1st degree sexual assault of a child. Her bond was set at $25,000. Johnson was a non-certified employee at Pawnee City Public Schools. As of the time of publication no formal charges have been filed.
