Pawnee County Fair is July 20th through July 24

In a true example of community spirit and generosity, the DuBois Community Foundation recently made a $76,000 donation to the Pawnee County Agricultural Society’s Building Improvement Project. The Foundation made the donation to the project in remembrance of Leon J.

DuBois has Sunday program for Memorial Day

DuBois Chester R. Kerl American Legion Post#39 and Auxiliary Unit#39 sponsored a community covered dish supper and program on Sunday evening, May 29, 2022 at the DuBois Community Building. After the meal, the Memorial Day Service was opened in prayer by Pastor Howard Blecha of Table Rock.

Aeden Gyhra of Pawnee City named Chancellor’s Scholars at Nebraska

Aeden Lee Gyhra of Pawnee City is among 82 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who will be recognized as Chancellor’s Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremony May 14 at Memorial Stadium. Gyhra is an elementary education major in the College of Education and Human Sci ences.

Table Rock Post 289 had a busy couple days Sunday and Monday. They took part in services in the area on Sunday and then added more Monday. Putting on the services is getting a little harder for the area veterans each year as their numbers dwindle and the ones still living get older.

Bradbury collects for the joy of doing it

Larry Bradbury says he collects things for the joy of doing it. He has a stamp collection, a pocket watch collection, and odds and ends of things. His wife, Pam, also collects for a glass collection. It all began for Larry when he was around 11 and a relative passed, leaving boxes of old letters.
