SENCB starts 28 th season

The Southeast Nebraska Community Band is beginning its 28th season of making music for our own enjoyment as well as audiences in the area. We are a congenial, diverse group of music performers who range in age from 15 to 88! We started in 1993 in Pawnee City with 13 members!

Reyana Tegtmeier has a book of poems published

2021 Pawnee City High School graduate Reyana Tegtmeier has selfpublished her first book of poetry. She is currently going to school at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado, which is about 15 minutes from downtown Denver. She reports “it has been going so great!

The Masonic Lodge of Pawnee City donated $25,000 to the new fire station. The money will be used for inside work at the station. The check was presented at the Monday night City Council meeting. The Masonic Lodge of Pawnee City donated $25,000 to the fire hall. The money will be used for the inside work.
The check was presented by Lodge members to members of the Fire Department at Monday night’s City Council meeting.

From the Fine Arts Boosters: It was a busy and successful weekend for PCHS Speech! Friday was the Lincoln East Spartan Invitational. This Class A dominated meet featured three guaranteed rounds and if you made finals, you were still performing at 7:00 p.m!
