There came the day 3 sisters, and I planned a road trip to the beach. It had snowed that night. My sister Sherry got up early and spent 2 hours unfreezing the locks of her van. A three-foot-high drift behind her van remained, but motivation and snow shovels overcame it.

Richardson County Deputy Josh Townsend has ended his try for the Sheriff’s position in Pawnee County. He cited personal reasons for his withdrawal from the race.

PCHS speech team starts its season

The Pawnee City High School speech team is off and running. They have five seniors back this year to lead the team. Several state qualifiers are back as well. There are 14 students participating in speech this semester. Coach Laura Bloss said that is just slightly below average for them.
