Falls City artist America’s foremost illustrator

John Philip Falter was from Falls City and became a famous painter and illustrator. He was born in 1910 and died in 1982. He grew up in Falls City and much of his early work was a recollection of the simple time of boyhood and the laid-back lifestyle of a small town.

Santa Parade shows community spirit

The Santa Parade took place for the second straight year Sunday night. Vehicles lined up south of the Courthouse and a little after 6 p.m. they started off, going through downtown and working their way up to Pawnee City Assisted Living and Premier Estates.
