Santa Parade

Santa Claus is coming to town! Decorate your vehicles or build a Christmas float and join in the fun for the Santa Parade on Sunday, December 19th. Jolly old Saint Nick himself will be in the parade. Lineup will be on the south side of the Courthouse at 5:30 pm and the parade will begin at 6:00 pm.

A NEW BARN AT THE PAWNEE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

For many years there’s been talk of the need to make improvements to the barns at the Pawnee County fairgrounds. The exact age of the barns at the fairgrounds is not known, but they appear in the background of a 1922 fair photo behind rows and rows of Model T-era cars.

2011-10 Years Ago Pawnee City Attorney Joe Stehlik got to wear his auctioneer’s hat at the November 14 meeting of the Pawnee City Council. His duty was to sell the Carnegie Public Library building that was vacated when the new facility opened this summer.

It’s no secret that I am a strong advocate for pro-life, pro-woman policies. As a member of the Nebraska Legislature, I supported a bill that banned most abortions in Nebraska after 20 weeks of pregnancy, the point at which unborn babies begin to be able to feel pain.
