News Editor Ray Kappel is having a one-man show of his photography at the Beatrice Library until Aug. 31. The display is in the lower level and open during regular library hours. There is a reception for him from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 28.

Last week’s story on the DuBois Marine John James should have stated the Vanguard Award he received was in honor and memory of Congressional Medal of Honor winner Corporal Larry L. Maxam, USMC. Cayle Rauner was incorrectly identified in a fair photo in the paper.
