Lincoln — Five students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have been named recipients of $500 Frank and Grace Thomann Scholarships. The recipients are William Latza, Kelly Brown, Bruce Dalluge, Beth Kerl, Pawnee City and Donald Shinn, DuBois.

25 Years Ago – November 23, 2000

‘Round the Square – Hunting season is in full swing. Even if you didn’t hear gunshots from every direction, you could tell by the pickups cruising the back roads from dawn till dusk. Everywhere you go tales are being told of the one I got, or the one that got away.

100 Years Ago – November 26, 1925

M. S. Brady, editor of the Tecumseh Chieftain, came down Friday to take in the big football game. This was Mr. Brady’s first visit to Pawnee City, although he has been in Tecumseh for a number of years.

Silent Movie Night is This Saturday at the Du Bois ZCBJ Czech Hall
