PCHS One-Act Team wins state title

The Pawnee City High School OneAct Team brought home the gold last week. They won the state championship Class D1 competition in a year that was especially tough on students because of the pandemic. “Super happy for them:) It’s always so amazing to finish a season on top. Doesn’t always happen.

Bruce Haughton and Donnie Fisher were sworn in as the new Pawnee City Councilmen in the regular meeting Monday. They defeated incumbents John Dahlgren and Vickie Zelenka in the fall election. Clerk Tammy Curtis swore them in. Mayor Charlie Hatfield appeared at the meeting through the phone hookup.

Wreaths Across America

The Freedom Riders 4-H Club is holding the Wreaths Across America Ceremony 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pawnee City Cemetery. The Public is invited. Please wear masks. This is a fundraiser for the club. The wreaths have already been purchased but come out to see them placed and to enjoy the ceremony.

FROM THE PASTOR’S PEN As I write this devotion, it is not yet Thanksgiving. People are being swindled out of Thanksgiving. I’ll keep it apolitical and just say, the Covid virus is swindling us. But with or without virus, Christmas is often swindled away.
