Youth football team sells 7200 meat sticks

The Pawnee City Youth football teams have finished their season. They had a great season of learning, playing and spending time with their teammates. The grades 5/6 team enjoyed a record of 4-0! This year the boys sold meat sticks as a fundraiser to raise money for new jerseys.

80 acres burn at Taylors Branch WMA

About 80 acres of the Taylors Branch Wildlife Management Area burned Sunday afternoon. The area is located Northeast of Pawnee City on 624 Blvd. Fire Departments from Pawnee City, Table Rock, DuBois and Tecumseh battled the blaze from about 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. according to Fire Chief Dave Glynn.
