Lost Wage Assistance Program funds available

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL) announced today that payments are being issued for the FEMA Lost Wage Assistance Program (LWA). Payments currently cover the first three weeks of the retroactive program, with payments for additional weeks to be issued when FEMA funding is available.

Virtual College Fair

(LINCOLN, Nebraska, September 17, 2020) Education-Quest Foundation is hosting a Virtual College Fair September 27-30 for Nebraska students and families. The free event will feature representatives from over 100 colleges along with sessions that will help families plan and pay for college.

Poteet Fellowship Hall

The Poteet Fellowship Hall was erected In memory of Ellis and Pauline Poteet, devoted members and contributors of the First United Methodist Church in Pawnee city, NE. The idea of a fellowship hall was inspired by Pastor Dennis Hanneman.

Pawnee City Schools and their talented art students

Really neat things are happening with the art students at Pawnee City Schools. First, four senior girls have been working on painting murals at the Fitness Center.

The Pawnee City Public Library is open! You can see their nice We Are Open signs on the front entrance. Their current hours are 9am-5pm. You can walk into the library keeping in mind there are guidelines for patrons safety.
