Confused? I certainly am!

Confused? I certainly am! School used to start after Labor Day years ago. Then it began in August and this year was not a standard year and each district may have a different schedule. I feel sorry for those people responsible for setting the dates for events.

2010-10 Years Ago Gary Bedea was honored at a retirement BBQ held at Scott & Billie Kay Bodie’s. After 19 years of service as manager of Rural Water District #1 Pawnee County, Gary has plans to take it easy. Kirkman’s Cover Recreation Area has exceeded limits set for safe contact with water.

What is Depression?

When a person feels sad over the death of a loved one, he or she cries easily and has emotional changes. This is grief. Depression is different from grief and often can be much harder to identify. It is caused by a decrease or imbalance of chemicals in the brain.

Sunday Afternoon

We have consumed our doses of morning coffee. The warm scent of bacon has diminished from the air. In the background buttons and zippers clank against the inside of the clothes dryer. My hands wrinkly and pale; the last remnants of breakfast.

The 2020 Pawnee City Homecoming Royalty was announced after the Pawnee City vs. Parkview Christian game on Friday afternoon, September 18th.

Area harvesting underway
