Sargent Brethouwer returns to hero’s welcome

Sgt. Dustin Brethouwer returned home to Nebraska recently to a hero’s welcome. He surprised his two kids, Colton,5, and Taylee, 7, who were playing on the Lewiston Consolidated Schools’ playground. He was coming back from his second tour in Iraq with the Army Reserves.

Councilman Dahlgren to pay back part of the cost for tube

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is mourning the death of Deputy Sheriff Troy Bailey. Deputy Bailey, age 53, suffered a heart attack Tuesday evening, passing away on September 11, 2020.
