Pawnee City School’s Homecoming Week Sept. 14-18

The Pawnee City High School Student Council has decided to move Homecoming one week forward to the week of September 14-18 in hopes that it will better ensure it can happen. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a number of things have been changed this year.

More good news at Pawnee County Memorial Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Kent Niss will start Sept. 14. He is a hometown kid with his parents Deb and Randy Niss living in rural Pawnee County. "The board, leadership and staff are excited to have Kent join our provider team.

Area crops have rough two weeks

Producer Don Bloss says the crops in the area look like they’ve been through a very tough two weeks. “The heat and dry winds have made the crops mature much faster than they should have.

Kaleb from K9 Bed Bug Detectors out of Lincoln holds his bed bug detector, a beagle named Ruby. She is highly trained to sniff out bed bugs. When she finds them, she just sits. The company was in town last Friday at the Pawnee Village for a routine inspection.
