The rain has been great for all the crops the past few weeks, says producer Don Bloss. “Except for some of the lowland flooding, the timing of the rains couldn’t have been better because the crops at this time benefit greatly from the extra moisture.

New Fire Station closer to reality

The Pawnee City Fire Department’s 29 firemen may soon have a new station. Assistant Fire Chief Mike Habegger said the Environmental Review was just completed on the new Fire Hall location and the funds were released for the new building two weeks ago.
