Steinauer has new park sidewalk

City buys mini excavator for $29,600

The Pawnee City City Council purchased a mini excavator for $29,600 at its regular Monday night meeting. They will get a 14,000-pound trailer for it for an extra $2,500. Ric Helms was the Councilman heading this project. The vote was 3-1 with John Dahlgren voting against.

Volunteers needed

The watering and care of the downtown flowers in Pawnee City always requires a lot of volunteers. The watering schedule is filled through July 24th, but the following 9 weeks are still open.

Pawnee County Fair Queen

With the Pawnee County Fair getting underway, it’s time to announce who received the honor of serving as Fair Queen. That honor goes to Austin Branch, a senior this year at Pawnee City High School. She has been selected as the 2020 Pawnee County Fair Queen. She will serve as hostess of the Fair.
