Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD is an illness brought on by an acute life-threatening event. This may be from combat which is the original source for the diagnosis, but in today’s world, it is more likely to be due to some other threat to one’s safety. This is often a sexual assault or some other threat to one’s life.

Rural Futures Institute interns

Table Rock and Pawnee County have been chosen to the University of Nebraska Rural Futures Institute’s Community Fellowship Program, an 8-week program where 2 interns move into the area and work on various development projects.

Remembrance of Karl Saurer, maker of film on Steinauer brothers

In 1991, Switzerland was celebrating the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Federation in 1291. This prompted Karl Saurer to think about what happened to the many immigrants who left Switzerland. He hoped this would be of interest to Swiss public and the schools in Nebraska.

3 area pools are open

NPPD upgrading meters

Columbus, Neb. - Upgrading electric meters at residences in Pawnee City, Humboldt, Burchard, Steinauer and Table Rock will begin Monday, June 29, by Nebraska Public Power District crews. Installation of meters is expected to run through the first week of July.
