Tornadic winds knock down 6 power poles near Table Rock

Straight line tornadic winds ripped through the area Tuesday, June 9, knocking down six power poles near Table Rock and leaving limbs and leaves strewn everywhere. Hail popped the roofs, streets and vehicles around the area for about 15 minutes.

Bloodmobile is coming to Pawnee City Thursday, June 11th at the Methodist Fellowship Hall from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished.

Accident report clarification

I’m emailing you in regards to the accident report that was written last week’s paper about the accident involving my vehicle Monday at the intersection of Hwy. 50 and 14th Street. I don’t feel that the report accurately reflected what actually happened.
