The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many people directly, and many, many more people indirectly. Without question, the health and death toll of the disease has been terribly saddening. But we also know it has stifled the economy, and greatly curtailed learning for students throughout America.

CJ Foods to change name

CJ Foods will be changing its name. According to CEO Dave McLain, the name change will come soon. It is coming out of the merger between CJ Foods and American Nutrition recently.

Prepare for blood donation

Pawnee City will have a community blood drive with the American Red Cross next Thursday, June 11, from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the Methodist Poteet Hall. Healthy individuals are needed every day to maintain an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

A conflict over the Wage Committee pay raise recommendations occurred at the Tuesday night meeting of the Pawnee City City Council They were discussing pay raises and the discussion at first started on the recommended 25 cent raise for city employees.
