New online auction business in Table Rock

Table Rock loves new businesses. Some of our older businesses have long been vital to our community, like Binder Brothers, which has been around for about 70 years, and the State Bank of Table Rock, which counts about 135 years. We’ve welcomed some new proprietors in recent times.

Tyson Foods among those hit by Covid-19 crisis

Covid-19 continues to damage the country’s food chain. Thousands of meat processing plant workers across the country have become ill after testing positive for Covid-19. Several have died, according to published reports.

Primary recap

Covid-19 didn’t dent the voting much for the Primary. More than 50 percent of Pawnee County registered voters voted. (For all official results see inside the paper.) Pawnee County has 1,822 registered voters with 980 that voted in the Primary. The voter turnout percentage was 53.79%.

Lawrence Wilcox, a fallen soldier of the Korean War

Lawrence Wilcox was a young man who died 70 years ago, 6,000 miles from home. It was in the earliest days of the Korean War, called often now the “Forgotten War." Lawrence A. Wilcox (1932 - 1950) was the youngest of the dozen children of Addie and Ernest Wilcox.
