25 Years Ago – October 5, 2000

A group of mothers have united together, to try to raise funds for a playground improvement project. The current playground equipment at the North and South Park, is 30 years old, and in dire need of upgrading.

50 Years Ago – October 9, 1975

“It feels great to win!” That was the general sentiment in the Pawnee locker room after the game last Friday night. The Pawnee City Indians renewed an old rivalry with the Tecumseh Indians with an 8 - 6 Homecoming victory at the expense of the boys from T-Town.

On Monday, September 29, Matt Kuhlmann of Table Rock was reported missing. He had last been seen at about 9 a.m. leaving town on his red side-byside, thought to be headed to help with harvest at a farm northeast of town. He did not show up there.

Children’s Carnival Games at the PC Historical Museum

The Pawnee City Historical Museum is hosting a new event this year on Saturday, October 18th from 10AM – 4PM Children’s Carnival Games. We have been told there isn’t a lot of activities for the youngest members of our community to participate in.
