10 Years Ago – July 23, 2015Get ready to rock in the Pawnee County Fair parade Thursday night.. The Pawnee City High School marching band will play “Old Time Rock and Roll,” for parade watchers and then they play the National Anthem for the Pawnee Manor.

The Docket

The following are ongoing cases in the Pawnee County Court. The Pawnee Republican will report on them as they develop. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Pawnee County Court was held July 17 in the Pawnee County Courthouse. Judge Richard Smith presided.

Health Alert Issued for Kirkman’s Cove Lake and Others

Lincoln, NE — The state of Nebraska has issued a health alert for Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB), also known as toxic blue-green algae, at Maskenthine Reservoir in Stanton County and Kirkman’s Cove Lake in Richardson County.
On Saturday, July 12, Pawnee Lodge #23 initiated two new members. Donnie Fisher and Russell Weeks were initiated as Entered Apprentice Masons, the first of three degrees in becoming a Mason. Both Donnie and Russell and their families live in Pawnee City and are active in the community. We are happy to welcome them into our Fraternity.
