Miss Lisa Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Schultz, of Pawnee City, has been chosen as the winner of a $150 Forgotten Children’s Scholarship from the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Nebraska.

100 Years Ago – May 13, 1926

Rev. A. R. Dowd and members of the church board at Steinauer opened bids on the splendid new church for the Catholic congregation there Friday evening. Many bids on different parts of the work were received and contacts were signed with several contractors.

The Pawnee City Chamber of Commerce held a poker run on May 6 for Small Business Week.33 local businesses participated, some in their own storefronts. Several mobile businesses set up shop in The Little Brown Jug.
