Inspired by the nice article by Dr. Willaim Snyder in a recent issue, I am motived to add some to his piece. By the way, Snyder long ago adopted the nick-name of “duke.” It is ironic that a star centerfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers, also named Snyder, caught wind of this and took it for himself.

Pawnee County Trap Season Ends With a Bang

The Pawnee County Trap Team ended the State Championship competition with a bang this year. The team organizer, Mary Moser, said the entire team improved greatly this year and two team members earned Most Improved Females awards.The leagues are separated into two groups, Juniors and Seniors.

Lewiston — Justice Currie of Crab Orchard has been selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State on May 31 through June 6, 2026. Currie will study local, county, and state government processes in this nonpartisan political learning experience.
