City Maintenance Update

The city crew completed the rock work around the pond, which council members recognized as part of recent maintenance efforts. Additionally, the crew spent about two and a half days hauling dirt to support ongoing improvements at Tranquility Park.

Dennis and Kim Schaardt of Den’s Country Meats held an open house Saturday to celebrate 40 years in business. They and their children and employees waved a steady stream of curious and appreciative customers past the front counter to head “back there.

Truck Parking Lot

The council held a lengthy discussion about ongoing issues at the city’s truck parking lot. A council member explained that the city had hired a surveyor to survey the property in 2008, but the survey did not match the original platted lot lines and street width.
