Local Student Headed to American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 346 of Liberty, Nebraska has announced Kierstin Rehrs of Lewiston Consolidated Schools as our representative to Cornhusker Girl’s State, June 2-8, 2024, at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Kierstin Rehrs is the daughter of Mike and Brie Rehrs of Filley, Nebraska.

TA broken hip is something that can lead to major disability and functional impairment and the biggest risk factor for a hip fracture is osteoporosis. This is something that we can prevent, manage, and improve. So, this week let’s cover a little bit about osteoporosis and the strategies we can develop for management.

In February 2015, Fran and Bob Blecha and I gathered pictures from the Argus Newspaper Museum. The Argus was to be remodeled, and we were moving the extensive photograph collection to a safe place. Huge numbers of photos, virtually all labeled, had been stapled to the wall. Many more had been tucked away – boxes, drawers, between the pages of the books. It was February and freezing in the unheated building but we worked steadily.
