Third quarter scoring slump hurts Lewiston

BEATRICE - One quarter ended up leading to the demise of the Lewiston Tigers in their first round game of the Class B Mudecas Tournament on Thursday, January 11th. The #6 seeded Tigers took on the #3 seeded Wymore Southern Raiders on Thursday, January 11th, but lost by a 4762 score.

MERIDIAN, CEDAR BLUFFS, OMAHA- The Lewiston Tigers played three games last week and went 2-1 through that road trip span. Lewiston vs. Meridian On Tuesday, January 2nd, the Tigers traveled to Meridian where they took on the Mustangs.

CONESTOGA - Shooting woes troubled the Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans in their game against Conestoga on Saturday, January 6th. HTRS was only 10/46 from the field in the game and went 0/13 from beyond the arc.

HTRS Titans take control in second half

HUMBOLDT - The first half was close, but the Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans took control of the game in the 4th quarter in their 47-34 win over Sterling last Friday, January 5th. HTRS started the game with Alex Jurack getting fouled on his made basket.

CONESTOGA - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans took care of business in their game against Conestoga on Saturday, January 6th. HTRS led 19-12 after the 1st period and then went on a 13-3 scoring spree in the 2nd period to carry a 32-15 advantage into the halftime break.

Lady Titans dismantle Sterling in 2nd quarter

HUMBOLDT - Second quarter scoring was what gave the Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans a huge advantage over the Sterling Lady Jets on Friday, January 5th. HTRS converted turnovers and rebounds into 23 points in that period while holding Sterling to only 6 points of their own.

PAWNEE CITY-The Pawnee City Lady Indians had troubles scoring against Johnson-Brock in their home game on Thursday night, January 4th. J-B’s defense, along with some low shooting percentages for the Lady Indians resulted in a 17-65 loss for P.C. P.C.
