Grain Truck Fire Outside Pawnee City

A grain truck caught fire after pulling over due to a flat tire on Highway 50 Wednesday afternoon. Nobody was injured in the incident.David Thomason, the driver of the truck, said he had a blow out while traveling along Highway 50.

Czech National Cemetery Memorial Day Celebration Sunday at 3:30 pm

Polka music will again be part of the celebration of Memorial Day at the Czech National Cemetery southwest of Humboldt. It begins on Sunday, May 24 at 3:30 pm. Joe Stehlik of Pawnee City will be the speaker, and the musicians will be from the area as well.

Ralph Schiffbauer Graduates Drug Court

Pawnee County’s Ralph Shiffbauer was one of graduates of Problem Solving Court on Tuesday, May 12. The program, more commonly referred to as Drug Court, is held in Nemaha County and presided over by Judge Richard Smith.
