Pawnee County Attorney Emily Sisco presented her yearly and quarterly reports to the Pawnee County Board of Commissioners at their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 28.

The Pawnee Republican walked away with an award in one of the Nebraska Press Better Newspaper Contest most prestigious categories this past weekend. The newspaper earned 3rd place in General Excellence in the class B division.

DuBois Polka Parties Worth Traveling For

ZCBJ Lodge #101 in Du Bois has been holding polka parties at its Czech Hall each Spring, a pot luck dinner followed by a free polka dance. They’re on their sixth year of the series and are gathering in a wider audience each year. Last month, a new couple stopped at the door, unsure how to proceed.
