‘Belfast’ offers you a St. Patrick’s Day treat

Every year about this time we have an Irish-themed story for the readers as we approach St. Patrick’s Day. Last year I did it on Sean McAhon’s family, this year I’m doing it on a film I watched, “Belfast.” This is from writer-director Kenneth Branagh, who calls this film his most personal one.

The area is sending seven students onto state speech competition. Districts were held last week. Students qualify for state by placing in the top three of an event. Four qualified for state from Pawnee, two from HTRS, and one from Lewiston. “It was crazy difficult competition.
