FFA Agriscience Finalists announced

The National FFA Organization has announced the 2021 National FFA Agriscience Fair finalists. The winners will be recognized during the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo this fall. Four Nebraska students were on the list and two of them are from Pawnee City’s FFA organization.

CONFEDERATE TO CARRY THE FLAG IN TABLE ROCK ON OCTOBER 16

A Confederate soldier will carry the Stars and Stripes for the color guard at two Civil War events in Table Rock. Union soldiers will march behind. In these days of tearing down monuments and wiping out symbols of the Confederacy, this may seem inflammatory. It is not. It is history.

Brock geologist made science world rethink glaciers, geologic ages

John Boellstorff who lives near Brock was 12 years old when he discovered his brother’s rock collection. He’s been traversing creek beds ever since as his life evolved into being a geologist. He got his Ph.D.

James Money in court Oct. 18

James Money, 62, of Table Rock has a scheduled court appearance Monday, Oct. 18. In a search of his residence on the north edge of the Table Rock Wildlife Management Area, Methamphetamine and a psychologicaldependence-building painkiller Carisoprodol were found on the property.
