A lot of area farmers got their start in classes taught by WWII veteran Lyle Droge. He started to teach these classes a couple years after returning from the war. He was teaching classes in connection with the FFA.

Caralyn Friedly loved her co-workers at Union Bank and Trust, and she said that was the most difficult part of leaving. She started her new duties as Executive Director at Pawnee City Assisted Living last week. On her second day on the job, she went around meeting all 20 residents.
