Farming, Focal Points, and Faith

Growing up as a farm kid, I got lots of opportunities to help with chores and other farm tasks. I loved being outdoors, whether it was to feed livestock, clean out farrowing crates, serve as my dad’s “gopher” (go for this, go for that), or drive tractor.

Summer Reading program promises it will be a fun summer

The Summer Reading Program has started at the Pawnee City Public Library and we can all be assured we are in for a fun summer. The program started May 17 and goes to July 31. It is for everybody from pre-K to us in the older crowd. There is something for everybody.

Noted author visits PC students

New bait shop in Pawnee City

Attention fishermen! There is a new bait shop in town. Klepper and Sons Bait and Tackle will be opening at 508 4th St. in Pawnee City. Kenneth Klepper started this business because he always wanted to do it. He even sold live bait when he was just a kid.

Call for volunteers!

This year, the City workers will be watering the flowers Monday thru Friday and we will just need volunteers to water on the weekends. This will be a HUGE help, and thanks so much to the City of Pawnee City for helping with this project!
