Local Businesses Interested in Community Service

The Pawnee City city council was pleasantly surprise at their regular meeting on May 27th. Two area businesses, Alphia and Martin Marietta, told the council that they are interested in more community service ideas.

Pawnee City Alumni Graduates from Veterinary School

Trevor Gyhra, a 2017 graduate from Pawnee City Public School graduated May 18th, 2025, from the University of Missouri- College of Veterinary Medicine. He is the son of Bridget Gyhra and the late Micheal Gyhra, grandson of Bill & Ronna Simpson, and the late Emmett Sr.

Cheerful Tunes and Community Spirit Shine at VanHorne Park

Pawnee City, NE – May 30, 2025 – The sweet sounds of Czech music and ice cream filled the air Saturday evening as residents from across Pawnee County gathered at the Amphitheater at VanHorne Park for a spirited community celebration.
